Ey, Emma here! I'm in Tokyo studying japanese at an international language school. I'll be staying here for a year! Check out my videos on YT too!

This is the shit, for real! I got totally hooked when I first found the website! It’s a site that collects info and pics of tons of abandoned places from around the world! Seen the movie “I Am Legend” w Will Smith? Remember how he walked around NYC on the streets and in shops? I’ve always dreamt of getting to experience that. Minus the zombie-thingies of course. Ppl have just dropped what ever they were doing and fled the place. It’s like a ghost town. You can do what ever you want carelessly. And explore and sneak around all by yourself. THAT’S an awesome feeling!
The phenomenon of doing this is called urban exploration. There are some really cool places on that website!! I went through the collections from Japan. There were many amusement and water parks… apparently during some point there started to pop up so many on the countryside that the market got saturated. And at the same time ppl started moving to the big cities, leaving not enough customers. And then I guess the owners were left w the only choice of closing em down and abandoning them. Pretty sad. But imagine walking around there! Coolest thing ever! Here are the coolest places from Japan, you HAVE to check them out!:
- A bowling alley complete w lanes, balls and rental shoes.
- Greenland Amusement Park (the picture from above is from here).
- Another amusement park w water slides, roller coasters etc.
- Onsen Hotel w pictures of a furnished bar and restaurant.
- Another fascinating hotel!
- A slaughter house (!).
- A hospital, just as creepy as the slaughter house!
