Ey, Emma here! I'm in Tokyo studying japanese at an international language school. I'll be staying here for a year! Check out my videos on YT too!

On Saturday we went to Yokohama, a big city just outside Tokyo. After our darn visit to Hiroshima, my expectations were low this time. Yokohama, just as Hiroshima, was once evened w the ground. But in an earthquake in 1923. So just as Hiroshima, not many temples etc. were to be found. But at this point I’ve sorta had it w temples, so it was fine. Instead we went to their China town! Tons of nice food, but we had just eaten before getting there, so we never tried anything. After that we went down to their harbour. It was beautiful! So fresh and clean, with parks leading up to the water. Pretty fancy! There were TONS of ppl everywhere. We found some big tents and kilometers long queues, but we never understood what was up. A celebration of some sort maybe! Before going back home we also went to a ramen museum!
When we got home to Tokyo we got ready to go out clubbing. We invented a new drinking game! My friend just got an electronic dictionary where you can write the different Japanese characters on the screen and then get it translated (it’s more high-tech than that tho). We randomly picked a japanese sign that one of us had to try to draw. If you succeeded the other person had to drink, if u failed you had to drink yourself. The amount of drinking was decided by the amount of lines that were used to draw the sign. In order to draw it correctly, or get the computer thingy to understand what sign it is, you have to draw the lines in he correct order and start at the right place, it doesn’t just match the final drawing w the real character. I failed all the time.
We went to a club in Roppongi called Muse. After reading some reviews online, it sounded like a nice place. And it was! We had trouble finding it at first, from the outside it looked like nothing but a small cute basement bar. But inside there were tons of small rooms w bars, dance floors, dart, pool table and karaoke!  Everything inside was made to look like you were outside. Really cozy! The different rooms had different vibes. Some were more lounge and some more w just dancing. At 5 the club closed and we went to take the subway home :)
